The X4 3D Printed Pocket Case on Maker World

The X4 3D Printed Pocket Case on Maker World

After seeing several cases for the XTEink X4, I noticed they really weren't doing anything to protect the screen, USB port, and particularly, all the buttons. I was concerned the power button would be pressed while in my pocket. It takes so little to press the button and power on the device leading to losing my place in the book I'm reading. So I made my own case.

I spent a lot of time making sure the buttons were protected, sliding into a recessed track regardless of whether the device was screen up or screen down. The screen slides along tracks so that the readable portion of the screen never comes in direct contact with the case and getting scratched. The buttons on the face also slide along an open track to make sure they never come in contact with the case as well.

I also created a cutout to make access to the face buttons and side buttons easy, as well as making it simple to push the device up and out of the case, from reading mode to pocket mode.
